Why should you use natural handmade soaps?

Over the last few years, soaps that contain natural ingredients are making a comeback for the best reasons. Organic soaps have made their way back into our skincare routine, reflecting how our ancestors and Indian culture always knew the importance of these ingredients. Before the day of marriage, the bride is smeared with haldi (turmeric) to give her skin a natural glow. The wonder of Indian herbs is that they are not only chemical-free, but they also give us a pleasant and refreshing feeling.

Soaps that are made of natural and plant-based ingredients are referred to as Organic soap. They do not contain any harmful chemicals, parabens, or sulfates. These soaps are prepared through cold-process methods and every step is done by hands to ensure that the skin remains soft and supple throughout the day. Organic soaps are gentle on the skin, causing no irritation, rashes, or allergies, and are suitable for all skin types. Based on the skin concerns you are experiencing, you can choose the soaps best suited to treat it.

We have listed the benefits of a few natural ingredients.

Turmeric - Turmeric is an excellent ingredient and contains anti-inflammatory properties. It aids in the reduction of acne, pimples, dark spots and also promotes even skin tone when used regularly.

Coconut - Coconut contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial characteristics. Hence it is best suited for those with dry skin as it is extremely moisturizing and also helps in treating sunburned skin.

Sandalwood - Sandalwood is a wonderful medicinal plant and has been used to treat various skin diseases from time immemorial. It helps to remove sun tan, tightens pores, lightens dark circles and gives an everlasting glow to the skin.

Neem - Neem extracts are effective in regulating excess oil on the skin without stripping it off its natural moisture. Its well-known antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties aid in the prevention of wrinkles and fine lines, as well as the treatment of pimples.

Tulsi - Tulsi, a sacred plant worshipped by the Hindus is high in electrolytes and vitamins. It aids in skin rejuvenation and the prevention of premature aging.  It also protects the skin from oxidative damage and detoxifies it by eliminating accumulated dirt and impurities.

Saffron - The various benefits of saffron are well known. It makes your skin radiant, improves moisture, and lightens pigmentation. It’s a natural exfoliator and can keep you fresh and energized all day.

Honey - Honey is rich in antioxidants and vitamins, which tend to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots, resulting in youthful and healthy skin.

Hibiscus - Hibiscus, also known as the ‘botox' flower, is a wonderful source of natural AHA and BHA. It fights acne, repairs UV damage, moisturizes, exfoliates, and tones your skin.

Apricot - Apricots contain a lot of Vitamin C, which helps to heal damaged skin. It's also a good exfoliant that removes dead skin cells and unclogs pores, which helps to reduce blackheads.

Jasmine - Jasmine has aromatherapeutic characteristics and aids in skin and body relaxation. It's soothing and detoxifying, and it's great for all skin types, especially during the winter. It can also help to remove stubborn scars.
